DOCUMENTATION AND TOURISM
Currently, any non-citizen is required to hold a visa
to enter Gaplan territory.
Because
Gapla does not have widespread international recognition, Gaplan
passports may be rejected at nations that do not recognize Gapla, and in
certain cases, even possession of a Gaplan passport at an airport or
international border crossing may result in persecution, despite the
fact that Gaplan passports are valid travel documents under
international law. For example, the Republic of Croatia is known to
be hostile to the presentation of Gaplan passports.
Therefore, we generally advise against using Gaplan passports for
international travel in countries that do not recognize Gapla. However,
usage of a Gaplan passport for international travel is legal under
Gaplan law and will not result in persecution by the Gaplan government.
The government is not responsible for any consequences arising from the
use of Gaplan passports, fraudulent or legitimate.
The Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Swiss Confederation have tacit
recognized the Federated States of Gapla, and therefore may recognize
its passports or documents. This does not guarantee that a Gaplan
passport will be accepted, nor does it guarantee that a Gaplan passport
will not be accepted elsewhere.
